Bulk Item Drop-Off

Twice a year, the City offers a bulk item drop-off service for City of Hopkins residents. 

Payment will be processed by card at the event. Debit cards, MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Discover are all accepted. 

Hours

The 2023 fall bulk item drop-off event will be held on Friday, September 29, from 3 to 7 p.m., and Saturday, September 30, from 9 a.m. to noon.

Location

Drop off at the Public Works building at 11100 Excelsior Boulevard (Enter off of Excelsior Boulevard).

Guidelines

  • Payment will be processed by card at the event. Debit cards, MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Discover are all accepted.
  • Residents are asked to stay in their vehicles. City staff will unload items.

A $20 (plus taxes) per vehicle fee applies for this service. This user fee covers one appliance. Any additional appliances are $20 (plus taxes) each. 

  • Each eligible residence is allowed to dispose of a maximum of 3 cubic yards of material, the equivalent of one pick-up truck load.
  • $20 gate fee includes access to a shredding truck, courtesy of Shred-N-Go.
  • Small engines and lawn mowers must have fluids removed.
  • Electronics and concrete products (without iron) are accepted.
