The Hopkins Police Department's Summer Youth Academy will provide an opportunity for hands-on learning about law enforcement with local police.
Program activities include the introduction of life skills, the importance of community outreach, sports and games.
Who: Youth ages 12-15
When: Every Thursday, June 22 through August 10, from noon to 4 p.m.
Where: Hopkins Police Department, 1010 First Street S
Cost: Free!
Lunch is provided. Transportation to and from the police department must be arranged by the parent/guardian.
Upon successful completion of the program, participants will receive a certificate and an invitation to a day-long trip to Valley Fair.
