Minnesota Art Groups Launch Exhibitions at the Hopkins Center for the Arts February 26

Bringing color, emotion and community to life are the collective works of artists from the Minnesota Artists Association, the Minnesota Mosaic Guild and artist Don Biehn. Fill your soul by viewing this exhibition at the Hopkins Center for the Arts, launching with Opening Receptions on Thursday, February 26, from 6 to 8 p.m. These exhibitions will remain on display through March 28. Summer Recreation Registration Begins March 3

Summer recreation program registration begins on Tuesday, March 3, for general recreation, Thursday, March 5, for senior programs and Tuesday, March 17, for ice skating. Visit minnetonkamn.gov/register to browse program options and choose from an array of activities including summer camps, swimming lessons, skating lessons, fitness classes, arts and crafts, athletic leagues and senior programs. The Lone Bellow’s Early Concert Tour Stop at the 
Hopkins Center for the Arts is March 6

The Lone Bellow’s album ‘What A Time To Be Alive’ was just released last week and Twin Cities audiences will be among the first to hear the Americana/indie-pop band’s new songs live. Catch them right here in Hopkins on an early tour stop, just before they head to the Grand Ole Opry. Enjoy experiencing The Lone Bellow’s music from their new album at the Hopkins Center for the Arts’ intimate theater space on Friday, March 6, at 8 p.m. As an added bonus, Peruvian born Fabrizio will open with his powerful baritone and raw country storytelling. Spring Plant Sale Fundraiser Now Open

Are you dreaming about the coming of spring and lovely blooming plants? Here is an opportunity to begin planning your garden by purchasing beautiful plants from Gertens, with proceeds supporting the Hopkins Activity Center and Hopkins Center for the Arts. Choose from perennials, annuals, veggies and more. To order plants visit the Gertens Fundraising website and enter Store ID 928. At checkout, note the "Seller's Name" as either the Hopkins Activity Center or the Hopkins Center for the Arts. Plant pick-up will be Saturday, May 9, from 9 to 11 a.m., at the Community Garden Plots at Valley Park. The deadline to order is April 2 at 10 p.m. Questions?
