Central Park Plan Engagement Survey Period 
Ends January 12

Free Holiday Tree Pick-Up is Week of January 13

Holiday trees will be picked up curbside, free of charge for Hopkins residential garbage customers the week of January 13. Trees will be picked up on your garbage day, subject to change due to the weather. Lay trees in the boulevard, parallel with the street, and at least five feet from overhead wires, trees, fences, garbage carts and parked cars. Trees must be free of all ornaments, plastic bags and metal. You do not need to call to schedule this service.


State of the City is January 30

The 2025 State of the City returns to the Hopkins Center for the Arts on Thursday, January 30. A reception will be held from 5 to 6 p.m., followed by a presentation in the theater. The State of the City event offers community members and business owners the opportunity to learn more about the workings of the City in a relaxed setting. Keep an eye out for more information in the coming weeks. 


Support HPD's K-9 Program

Hopkins Police are holding an Officer Zero plush toy fundraiser to support the department's K9 program. The newly reinstated K9 program is funded partially with public safety grants, and partially with community and private sector donations. You can purchase an Officer Zero plush toy for $20 online, or in-person at Hopkins City Hall or the Hopkins Police Department, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. (cash or check made payable to the "Hopkins Crime Prevention Fund"). 


Apply for Hennepin County's CEO Now Program 

Hennepin County Economic Development is offering the CEO Now program to support established, growth-minded business owners with guidance to build and strengthen systems to keep their businesses growing. Participants who complete the training will walk away with a three- to five-year strategic roadmap, a network of peers, and the technical skills to keep growing their business. Applications are open for the next class of CEO Now -- apply today!
