Hennepin County Household Hazardous Waste Drop-Off is May 12 and 13

Drop-off your household hazardous waste at the Hennepin County collection event today, May 12, and Saturday, May 13. Bring your items to Minnetonka Public Works, 11522 Minnetonka Boulevard, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. either day. For more information, additional drop-off dates, and a list of items that are accepted, visit the Hennepin County website. 


Community Garden Kick-Off Event is May 13

Join the City of Hopkins for a FREE, fun-filled morning at the third annual Community Garden Kick-Off event at the community gardens in Valley Park on Saturday, May 13, from 9 to 11 a.m. Community partners offering gardening advice, free giveaways and more include Hennepin County Master Gardeners, Hopkins fire and police departments, Hopkins School District/Hopkins Community Education and the ICA Food Shelf. New this year: a free coffee cart from No Milk. The event is open to all, no registration is required to attend.


Nomination Deadline for Cops N Kids Fishing is May 23

Text. Do you know a Hopkins resident or student between the ages of 8 and 11 who would benefit from police mentorship? The Hopkins Police Department is accepting nominations for Cops N Kids Fishing coming up on Tuesday, June 13. All nominations are due by Tuesday, May 23, at 8 a.m. Learn more and submit and online nomination form.
